Rosacea/Broken Vessels
Redness of the face can be caused by multiple conditions, one can be from a medical condition called Rosacea. Rosacea can resemble acne and can also lead to permanent dilated blood vessels concentrated around the nose, cheeks and chin.
Once I establish the diagnosis, I will formulate a treatment plan that may include a combination of prescription and non-prescription medications to address the bumps of rosacea that look like acne. The redness and dilated vessels on the face and chest can be treated with a laser that targets the vasculature of the skin. This laser is called a pulse-dye laser.
