Laser Resurfacing
Carbon-dioxide (CO2) lasers work by delivering a focused beam of light that penetrates the skin's surface and heats the underlying tissue, causing the skin to produce more collagen. The increased collagen production can result in smoother, firmer, and younger-looking skin. Results may be visible immediately following the treatment, with continued improvement over the following weeks and months as collagen production increases.
Fraxel laser is a non-ablative laser that creates microchannels into the skin that allow for healing with minimal to no downtime. These microchannels cause thermal damage under the skin which results in new collagen production. Fraxel is effective in treating wrinkles and fine lines, acne scars, age spots, sun spots, and skin tightening.
Lasers have been shown to improve the appearance of:
Wrinkles
Skin laxity
Acne scars
Sun spots
Burn scars
Stretch marks
Skintone
Surgical scars
